Pond

People often talk about healing and making a fresh start all the time. But they seldom mention the hard work behind it, which involves weeding and cutting out the things that are no longer useful.

The healing process can be messy, so there’s not much to talk about while it’s happening.

Imagine cleaning up a pond that’s been covered with plants overgrowth and pests for a long time. The water will be cloudy for a while before it settles.

This fresh pond requires maintenance and new ingredients. The old poisons that soured the water – the apathy, bitterness, envy, ignorance, bad habits and so on – must be removed. Then you’re ready to have the right elements and people in your universe.

It could take a while to create the right pond for one’s life. That’s fine. Just enjoy the rain and the sunny days to come.
