Transient

I’m not the same person that I was before the pandemic. Much had happened during the short but intense two years. I’ve lost a lot – opportunities and some people I love. I had three Covid19 vaccine jabs, that probably altered my body cells too.

Most importantly, I have a change of heart about a few things.

Firstly, I refuse to postpone my dream. I used to put everything else before myself – relationships, obligations and fitting into old social norms.

We put off necessary changes, because we thought profit and progress should come before our well-being. That didn’t work, because whatever system we had was futile against a widespread pandemic and current climate change problems.

Secondly, I’m reclaiming my power as an individual. Today, we’re led to believe that people with large social media followers or wide press coverage are the only ones that could shape the world. Those are illusions.

It’s more effective to take action within our capacity and improve our immediate environment, no matter how small. So, I’m going to captain my own boat this time.

With that, I bid farewell my old Self. Thank you sitting down with me until I’m ready to make the next journey.
