I returned to my home island after the international travel lockdown was lifted. The beach was a timeless bubble where everything seemed to be unaffected the happenings in the world.
I spent some time staring at a school of fish playing in the water. They tossed their tiny bodies into the waves, taking a small risk of being stuck in the sand. But they were fine and seemed to be enjoying themselves.
I saw some interesting patterns made by the fallen leaves on the sand. The shadows created by the trees made the scene more interesting. I stopped looking for a nice shot and simply captured whatever I found fascinating in front of me.
We sat underneath the trees until we’re ready to take the boat back to the mainland.
